The Crawler’s cleaning technology is currently brush-based, and its unique hydraulic suspension system ensures that the nylon brushes rotate with the right amount of pressure against the ship’s hull and coating system. It thereby effectively removes all marine fouling from the vertical sides and flat bottom of the vessel’s hull without damaging the ship’s expensive antifouling coatings. Its operating mode is semi-hybrid, a combination of diver and external power supply, and it is prebuilt for remote controlled operations (ROV).
